Fibromyalgia Symptom Tracker
Log fibromyalgia symptoms as you go, see your FS/PSD estimate update on the Condition tab, and export a clinical PDF for appointments — built from your data, not guesswork.

What to track with fibromyalgia
A fibromyalgia symptom tracker works best when it matches how your condition actually shows up — not a generic pain diary.
Widespread pain
Record pain severity and where it shows up. Fibromyalgia pain often moves between body regions — a log makes patterns easier to describe at clinic than memory alone.
Fatigue
Fatigue is central to fibromyalgia but easy to under-report at appointments. A simple daily entry builds a clearer picture over time.
Sleep quality
Non-restorative sleep is common. Log how you slept and whether you woke unrefreshed — sleep and pain often track together.
Cognitive symptoms
Brain fog, poor concentration and word-finding difficulty — sometimes called “fibro fog” — are worth noting when they affect daily life.
Flares and harder days
Mark days when symptoms spike and note what was different. Over weeks, flare frequency and recovery time become easier to see than from recall alone.
Function and daily tasks
Note how symptoms affect work, household tasks or exercise. Small changes week to week can signal a flare building or improving control.
Why symptom tracking helps
Fibromyalgia can fluctuate week to week. A consistent log turns scattered days into evidence you can export before your next appointment.
Walk into appointments prepared
Export a PDF that summarises the months since your last visit — so you are not guessing whether pain, fatigue or sleep were worse in March or May.
Spot symptom changes early
Daily logs turn vague memory into a timeline. You can see when pain spread, fatigue worsened or sleep broke down — before symptoms pile up.
Understand flare patterns
Flares rarely appear from nowhere. Tracking helps you connect symptoms to activity, stress or treatment changes so you can respond sooner.
Track treatment response
Starting a new medication or therapy? Adherence and symptom trends in your report show whether treatment is helping over weeks, not just today.
Take the guesswork out of rheumatology appointments
Appointments often hinge on “how have you been since we last met?” — and memory is unreliable. Hurtl collects your fibromyalgia data over time, then turns it into a PDF report you can bring to clinic: averages, trends, FS/PSD, lab results where relevant, flare days and medication adherence in one place.
-
Log symptoms and labs in the app
Track pain, stiffness, fatigue, flares, lab results and medication for fibromyalgia as you go — not in a rush the night before clinic.
-
See patterns between visits
Charts and FS/PSD update from your entries so you know how the last weeks actually looked, not how you feel today. Scores in the app are estimates from your daily logs — not official clinical scores.
-
Export a PDF for your appointment
Choose the date range, pick what to include, add notes for your clinician, and share a doctor-ready PDF from Home, Condition, Insights or any tab header.
You choose the date range, sections and clinician notes. Your log stays on your device until you export — the report is for preparation, not a clinical diagnosis. Clinical PDF export is included with Hurtl+.
FS/PSD and how Hurtl helps
FS/PSD combines the Widespread Pain Index (WPI) and Symptom Severity Scale (SSS). Hurtl calculates an FS/PSD estimate from your daily logs on the Condition tab — with a 7-day trend and severity label. It is an estimate from your daily logs — not an official clinical score.
The two FS/PSD components (clinical)
When your clinician assesses fibromyalgia, they typically combine two patient-reported areas:
- Widespread Pain Index (WPI) Counts painful body regions — a key part of fibromyalgia assessment
- Symptom Severity Scale (SSS) Rates fatigue, waking unrefreshed and cognitive symptoms over the past week
Your FS/PSD estimate in Hurtl
Hurtl combines widespread pain and symptom severity from your logs for a running FS/PSD estimate. You see today’s inputs, a 7-day trend and a severity label on the Condition tab.
Scores in Hurtl are estimates from your daily logs — not official clinical scores. Your care team may calculate FS/PSD differently at appointments.

What else Hurtl provides
Widespread pain tracking, visit prep for the last 30 days, flare history and clinical PDF exports — so appointments start from what you recorded, not memory.
How Hurtl helps
Hurtl is built for chronic pain conditions, not a generic wellness app. Collect fibromyalgia data daily, spot trends in the app, and export a PDF when it is time for clinic.
Condition-specific symptom tracking
Log widespread pain, fatigue, sleep and cognitive symptoms from pre-set lists — or create custom trackers for what matters to you.
Flare logging
Mark harder days and note what was different. Trend charts make flare patterns visible over weeks and months.
FS/PSD from your daily logs
Hurtl calculates an FS/PSD estimate from widespread pain and symptom severity — with a 7-day trend and severity label. An estimate from your daily logs — not an official clinical score.
Lab results
Store blood tests when you get them — with history per test and optional trackers you enable when needed.
Medication reminders
Set reminders for daily treatments or other therapies. Track adherence alongside symptoms to see the full picture.
PDF reports for appointments
Turn months of logs into a shareable export: summary metrics, pain and fatigue charts, flare days and medication adherence — ready before you sit down with your clinician.
Frequently asked questions
What should I track with fibromyalgia?
Most people find widespread pain, fatigue and sleep the most useful starting points. Add cognitive symptoms, flares and function when you want more detail. You do not need to log everything every day — consistency beats completeness.
What is FS/PSD?
FS stands for Fibromyalgia Symptom scale and PSD stands for Polysymptomatic Distress scale — two names for the same combined score (WPI + SSS). WPI counts painful body regions; SSS rates fatigue, unrefreshed sleep and cognitive symptoms over the past week.
How is FS/PSD calculated in clinic?
Clinicians count painful regions for the WPI (0–19) and score fatigue, unrefreshed sleep and cognitive symptoms on the SSS (0–12). Combined thresholds help determine whether fibromyalgia criteria are met. Your clinician will interpret results in context.
Does Hurtl calculate FS/PSD?
Yes. Hurtl calculates an FS/PSD estimate from your daily logs — widespread pain and symptom severity — with a 7-day trend on the Condition tab. It is an estimate from your daily logs — not an official clinical score. Your care team may use their own scoring at appointments.
Can tracking help with fibromyalgia flare management?
Yes. A symptom diary helps you notice when a flare is building, what may have triggered it and how long recovery takes. That makes it easier to adjust activity, contact your care team early or prepare for appointments with concrete examples.
Can I share symptom history with my doctor?
Yes. Export a PDF report for the period you choose — averages, pain charts, FS/PSD trend, flare summary and medication adherence — and share it at your rheumatology, pain clinic or GP appointment. You control when and what leaves the app.
How does Hurtl help before an appointment?
Log symptoms as you go, then generate a report before clinic so you are not reconstructing the last three months from memory. That takes the guesswork out of questions like how often you flared or whether your current treatment is helping.
